- The following activities will be carried out throughout the project lifespan:
- Establishing a joint project team consisting of members from Albania and Macedonia;
- Developing a joint action plan;
- Mobilising youth and educators;
- Organising Youth Camps in Albania and Macedonia in order to establishing core youth groups that will assume the leadership in dissemination and outreach and at the same time maintain and sustain ownership. During these camps youth will be trained on the following proposed topics:
- how to acquire and use information;
- how to use online tools and social networks safely and effectively;
- what are online threats and how to recognise and avoid them;
- critical thinking;
- building dialogue across borders and cultures;
- demonstrating understanding and promoting tolerance;
- how to recognise radicalism / extremism on the net and report / disseminate warnings about that;
- how to contribute in preventing radicalisation / violent extremism and potentially counter them;
- how to do self-monitoring and be aware of threats related to violent extremism.
In this framework, project team will consider UNESCO’s publications:
- “Empowering Youth to Build Peace, New Integrated Framework of Action”;
- “Ethical Implications of Emerging Technologies: Survey”;
- “Code of Ethics for the Information Society”.
- Disseminating gained knowledge, skills and attitudes in the local environments;
- Outreaching local communities;
- Developing a Project web site reflecting contributions from youth, project results, best practices, and voices of young people.
